Remove pilot jet and clear with carb spray; reset screw to 1.75 turns. Vacuum leak at the intake boot or lean pilot circuit.
Turn off the fuel valve (petcock) and drain the carburetor bowl using the drain screw at the bottom.
Back out the pilot mixture screw 1/4 turn; check intake manifolds for cracks.
You do not need a new carburetor. You need a diagnostic flowchart.
Controls idling and low-speed operation up to approximately 1/4 throttle.
