    Another factor contributing to the rarity of Malay dubs is the changing landscape of physical media and dubbing practices. Today, most Malay dubs of Disney animated films are produced , rather than for theatrical release or home video distribution. This means that many of these dubs are ephemeral: they air on Disney Channel or RTM, and then become difficult or impossible to find legally.

    The Malay dub of Tarzan II found its way to Malaysian television. In 2010, the film was broadcast on TV2, and viewer commentary at the time noted that the film was available in both English and Bahasa Malaysia, continuing the Disney tradition of localizing Tarzan content for Malaysian audiences. Furthermore, the 2011 Disney licensing deal with RTM included Tarzan 2 as part of a package of children’s programming available in both languages.
