The adductor magnus is the largest and most complex muscle in the medial compartment of the thigh. Often referred to by anatomists as the "adductor minimus" in its superior portion or functionally classified alongside the hamstrings, this hybrid muscle plays a critical role in human locomotion, pelvic stability, and lower limb power generation.
