Bruce Nolan (Jim Carrey) is a cheerful but frustrated Buffalo news reporter who blames everyone but himself for his misfortunes. After a spectacular on-air meltdown, he loses his dream job as an anchor. He rants at God, claiming He’s doing a terrible job. To Bruce’s surprise, God (played by Morgan Freeman in an iconic role) appears and offers Bruce His divine powers for one week. The condition? Bruce cannot tell anyone he’s God.
"Bruce Almighty" is a comedy film directed by Jay Roach, starring Jim Carrey as the titular character. The movie follows Bruce Nolan (Carrey), a man who, after a series of unfortunate events, becomes convinced that God (played by Morgan Freeman) has gone on vacation and left him in charge.
