There are two main ways to update ESET Smart Security offline. The right method depends on your technical environment.
Set a schedule to update your offline files at least once a week. New malware is created daily; staying too long without updates leaves you vulnerable.

Open your ESET endpoint product and press the key to open Advanced setup . Expand Update and then click Profiles -> Updates .
Once the update files are safely transferred to your USB drive, connect the drive to the offline computer and configure the ESET user interface to recognize the local folder as an update source.

If you are using ESET in a corporate setting (Endpoint Security), you should create an "Update Mirror" on a machine that has access to the internet. Open your ESET product window. Press to access Advanced setup . Click Update and expand Profiles > Update Mirror . Toggle Create update mirror to enable it.
