The file gsrld.dll is part of the copy protection system. In repacks (specifically releases based on the "Black Box" or similar pre-cracked versions), the game sometimes fails to initialize this specific library because of one of two reasons:
file is in quarantine. If it is, select the file and click "Restore." Add Folder Exclusions
: Always turn off real-time antivirus shields right before executing highly compressed repack setup files.
If your antivirus permanently deleted the file and it cannot be restored from history, you will need to manually put the file back.
To keep this issue from happening again during future installations, follow these clean installation rules:
Right-click game > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity. (Note: This might delete the crack if you are using a repacked version).
