This is the most misunderstood part. Forgiveness does not mean reconciliation. You can forgive a dead parent without inviting a toxic sibling to Christmas. Forgiveness is cutting the rope of vengeance so you don't hang yourself with it. It says, "I refuse to let your sin dictate my future."
