"The Apartment" is a 1960 American romantic comedy film directed by Billy Wilder. The movie tells the story of C.C. Baxter (played by Jack Lemmon), a low-level insurance clerk who lends his apartment to his bosses and other married men in the company for their extramarital affairs. In return, C.C. is promised a promotion and a transfer to New York.
Aditya realized that the apartment was never about the physical space. It was about boundaries. It was about realizing that lending pieces of yourself to people who don't value them leaves you with an empty house.
"Dia tidak pernah benar-benar melihatku," the text read. He never really saw me.
: Her performance as the manipulative yet vulnerable Alice is often cited as the film's emotional core, earning her praise for overshadowing her famous co-stars.
