Software Instability: Unauthorized keys or modified "cracked" executables often cause the program to crash during the scanning process. This can further corrupt the data you are trying to save.

You can deactivate the old license (if the old PC still boots) via Help → Deactivate. Then generate a new offline activation file for the new PC. If the old PC is dead, email support with your purchase receipt—they will reset your key.

Return the USB drive to the computer that has Recover My Files installed. In the software's activation window, import the file and follow the final prompts. Once successful, you will have full access to save your recovered files.
